About The Artist
Avneet is a Delhi-based artist whose work celebrates the captivating dance of light and shadow. Drawing inspiration from her expertise in jewelry design and diamond grading, Avneet’s charcoal and graphite creations weave together the interplay of illumination and darkness, exploring the beauty within imperfections.Under the mentorship of the esteemed Mr. Rameshwar Broota, her art merges minimalism and abstraction, offering viewers an invitation to delve into the dynamic dialogue of straight lines, negative spaces, and luminous reflections. With a meticulous eye for detail, she transforms shadows into spaces of introspection, urging audiences to discover the beauty concealed within. Avneets artistic journey has been recognized both nationally and internationally. She is a recipient of the Kalanand Grant Award, the Gold Medal from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, and a sponsorship for a solo exhibition by the State Art Gallery, Hyderabad. Her accolades also include an award in the drawing category at AIFACS. Her debut solo show at Triveni Kala Sangam in 2023 marked the beginning of a series of exhibitions across renowned galleries such as Art Heritage, Bikaner House, Shridharani Gallery, CIMA, Lalit Kala Akademi, and Birla Academy of Art & Culture. Her work has even made its mark in auctions overseas, including in New Zealand. Through her art, Avneet transcends the borders of vulnerability and resilience, evoking the essence of light filtering through windows to cast intricate patterns of shade and reflection. Rooted in the timeless elegance of her Delhi upbringing, her creations compel audiences to embrace the poetic interplay of light and shadow, finding beauty in life’s complexities.
