About The Artist
Born in 1974, Delhi. Puja Bahri trained at Triveni Kala Sangam and followed it up with focused learning and practice and short courses at St Martins’ in London to refine her technique in mixed media and abstraction. Her imagery in bold colours features human figures often of semi-clad rolex replica or nude couples in different moods and posturing. Surrounded by nature, either trees or flowers and frequently accompanied by musical instruments and now more and more embellished with masks and crowns, her compositions come with a self-content and peaceful ambience. Experimenting with different textures and techniques to bring her imagery alive, she likes to work in series. Her style blends skillful brushwork held together with whirls and bands that give illusions of light and shade. Puja, who has been painting since her childhood, has participated in several shows in Delhi, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore. She lives in Delhi and works from her studio at home.
