“For any individual or community to truly flourish and propagate, a constant geography is essential. But when people are forcibly uprooted from their natural environments, survivalism takes precedence, leading to the dilution of social fabric and cultural continuity. This is what deeply troubles me. During the exodus, survival instincts took over, and finding new soil to root ourselves and blossom became our foremost priority. And now, after more than three decades, with the framework of our community shattered, how long can cultural continuity survive at large? As I look at my children, I am filled with both hope and fear. Hope that they will carry forward the legacy of our culture, and fear that the essence of who we are might fade away”.
