This encourages more mysterious excursions of imagination to the ocean depths. I cannot stop imagining that Empires exist deep down on the floors of the ocean

About The Artist

Born in 1959 in Goa, Subodh Kerkar, an accomplished painter, sculptor and designer is a qualified doctor who graduated from the University of Bombay but gave up his medical profession to pursue his passion for art. After receiving his initial learning in art from his artist father, Chandrakant Kerkar, Subodh has been a regular illustrator and cartoonist for local and national newspapers. The vast ocean that he lives next to has been both his muse and the medium. His orks have been exhibited widely all over the country and internationally in Europe and the Middle East. He has also designed restaurants, houses and illustrated several books including for Dale Carnegie Syndicate in Germany. Subodh lives and works in Goa where he also founded ‘Museum of Goa’ in 2015.
