About The Artist

Shahanshah Mittal (b. 1989) is a contemporary artist based in New Delhi, India. As a freelance artist for the past decade, he strives to create environments that resonate with his inner self. His minimalist and balanced compositions evoke a sense of rhythm and asymmetry, reflecting his attempt to externalise and share his internal world. Mittal completed his B.F.A in Applied Arts from the College of Art, Jabalpur (2010) and his M.F.A from R.M.T University, Gwalior (2013). His work has been featured in various solo exhibitions, including Poetic Reminiscence, Nine Fish Art Gallery (2023) and Of Meditative Gesture, an online show curated by Artincept. His work has also been showcased in group exhibitions such as Formless Whisper curated by Rahul Kumar at Shridharani Gallery in New Delhi. Throughout his career, Mittal has received several prestigious awards, including the Birla Academy Award, Prafulla Dahanukar Award, and Lalit Kala Academy Award.
