Bose believes that colours play a magical role in our lives. He is greatly influenced by the colours that are seen as ‘predominant’ in Indian ceremonies, festivals, rituals, the costumes and gestures of enactment. His art is an amalgamation of his understanding of contemporary culture, literature, and design and time periods. For this series he has evolved through his journey from the ‘minimalist styled’ series in the 90’s to creating an abstract black on black with white on black circles, since it creates a different approach to the ‘colourful minimal’.
