“As a young Kashmiri Pandit who grew up outside Kashmir, my life forever juggles between a deep sense of loss and a fervent hope for future. The pain of leaving our ancestral home and land is a shared wound across my community. My parents’ story is one of courage and
sacrifice. They took refuge in Jammu during the 1990 exodus, leaving behind in Kashmir everything they had. Making a fresh start with nothing but their unwavering spirit, they provided a foundation of love and resilience for our family. Their journey, marked by hardship and hope, deeply influences my drive to honor our heritage while forging a promising future”.
