Recoding Landscape
In a single day, in a single moment, human beings encounter a multitude of smaller universes. In the contemporary urban metropolis there is a congregation of multiple such phenomena. There are several objects, shapes and imaginative spaces flowing in the atmosphere in different states which are seemingly chaotic but mostly ordered. Creative minds are fascinated with the visual amalgamation of these ambivalent objects spaces, and events that collide and detach, connect and disconnect. To fathom the exploration of the creativity thoughts and processes of such human mind
Gallery Art Positive is bringing the group exhibition Recoding Landscape. It offers the contestation negotiation, and juxtaposition with the word Landscape. Landscape not only as the visual boundaries or creation of certain frontiers but also to delve into the creative minds using theses landscapes for their diverse interpretations.
We commonly use landscape metaphors in speech to help us understand complex or abstract systems or relationships. In this exhibition through the exploration of various styles and expressions, the artists navigate the terrain of their minds to produce the creative output that blurs the invisible barrier between the conscious and subconscious, between real landscape and dreamscape. In the physical world, we can experience a landscape from numerous viewpoints. Our viewpoints vary when we look from different angles or it may shift some views may be sharp while some may be blurry. In this exhibition the art works are hopefully widened to the angle of totality and with this approach the work of art becomes more of a vehicle for the subconscious mind of the viewer to travel through and experience.
