Dipti Bondre is a Mumbai based mixed media artist. Dipti has completed her Masters in Fine art from Sir J.J School of Fine Art-Mumbai. She further pursued her art form witha Diploma in Ceramic and Pottery at Sophia polytechnic, a scholarship at The arts students League of New York- New York and an artists residency at Taktprojectruam in Berlin The latest being a residency in Venice in 2015 alongwith the Venice Biennale. Dipti has had six solo shows and several group shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, New york and Berlin . She has another upcoming solo show, in New York in 2016and recently had a solo show in Pune in March 2015. Dipti has received a patent for a technique she developed- ‘Image that changes with light.’ This technique was used in the 2011 solo show called ‘The Third Dimension’ and will be used once again for her solo show in Delhi Ode to the Bosphorus- Glimpses of Istanbul through Yantras.
Dipti was selected for the Maharashtra state art award in 1990 and graduated in 1992 with topping the university in History of art. She has participated in some prestigious auctions such as the Pink filly- for Cancer awareness, the Edelweiss foundationand the Pfizer foundation.She was also invited to participate in the Kala Ghoda art festival for the public art installation segment in 2011 and 2012. As well as the BBC functional art show in 2013. One of her works from the series The Third Dimension has been recently acquired by GVK and will a part of the art pavillionat the Bangalore International airport.Dipti has executed the first permanent kinetic energy installationin India- 'Earth Recycled' for Lodha builders at Palava city inMumbai in 2014.Dance has been a large part of her learning and growth. She has received her training in Indian classical dance, for Twelve years in Bharatnatyam and two years of Mohiniattam.
